THE MANSION

Beginning the day in the impeccably restored 1804 Gothic Victorian Revival Mansion

The mansion reminds you of it’s glorious past while it’s updated decor and furnishings express the contemporary style that perfectly balances the old and the new.

The rooms on the second floor are now two separate suites for bridal parties to prepare for their wedding featuring striking full baths and comfortable seating for the wedding parties to gather in anticipation of the event.

10-foot ceilings, original crystal chandeliers and gas light fixtures, elegant sconces, and the grand piano provide the background and atmosphere for guests to discover and enjoy.

The rooms are intimate and comfortable, including the North and South Parlors, the Dining Room and the Library, and the opulent textured walls of the Pub Room, with its 14-foot brass bar and fireplace that make this room a natural gathering place.

 

THE GROUNDS

Outdoor Elegance

The Estate grounds offer an atmosphere that could be in Newport, the south of France or an estate on the English countryside. All with the convenience of being minutes from the highway or downtown New Haven on the historic East Shore. 

After strolling across the brick pathway through the great lawn, our own magnificent sailcloth tent, with its soaring peaks and tasteful lighting, is the perfect place for your guests to enjoy a curated culinary experience. The view from the tent includes 200 year-old specimen trees that stand guard and bear witness to every passing event on these grounds, and the historic iron fountain, dating to 1750, stuns with its cascading 10 foot water falls. With over 12 acres of manicured property, the opportunities for you to design your special day are endless.

The pub bar, adjacent to the tent, can serve your guests delicious libations throughout the event. This cozy restored outbuilding is the newest on the property, dating back to 1915, complete with a fireplace, comfortable seating, and a quaint porch overlooking the property.
